DESCRIPTION:Innovation creates opportunity\, but it can also attract unwanted attention. \nJoin KU Innovation Park and the FBI on Tuesday\, Nov. 3\, from noon to 1 p.m. for an informative session exploring the evolving security threats facing startups\, researchers and companies developing emerging technologies. \nFBI representatives will discuss how foreign adversaries target intellectual property\, sensitive research and proprietary technologies\, with a particular focus on the technology and bioscience sectors. Attendees will learn how to recognize potential threats\, strengthen workplace security and take practical steps to protect their innovations. \nThe session will also offer an inside look at how the FBI works with businesses and research organizations to safeguard innovation\, providing an opportunity to ask questions\, build connections and better understand the resources available to your company. \nWho should attend: Entrepreneurs\, startup founders\, researchers\, business leaders and anyone involved in developing or commercializing innovative technologies. \nLunch and networking begin at 11:45 a.m.\, and the presentation will take place from noon to 1 p.m. at KU Innovation Park’s Phase III Facility\, 2033 Becker Drive. \nThis event is free\, but registration is required as lunch will be provided.
