Her research focuses on the economics of science\, workforce trends\, wage inequality and innovation policy\, and has been published in leading journals including Science. Ginther’s work has informed policymakers at the national level\, and she has advised organizations including the National Academies of Sciences\, Engineering\, and Medicine and the National Institutes of Health. In 2025\, she was elected to the American Academy of Arts & Sciences in recognition of her contributions to economics and public policy.
