The West Campus Structural Testing Facility is designed to accommodate the testing of full-scale systems and components.
The Park – Phase III
Phase III of KU Innovation Park, located at 2033 Becker Dr., opened in the fall of 2022. This facility has best-in-class custom spaces to fit the demands of fast-growing companies previously located in Phase I/II.
The Park – Phases I/II
The KU Innovation Park Main Facility comprises Phases I & II and is an incubator with more than 50,000 square feet of top-notch modern office, dry lab, wet lab, and shared collaborative spaces.

KU’s Structural Biology Center, dedicated to Delbert M. Shankel, provides a research environment for drug discovery programs. The four phases include collaborative spaces, extensive laboratory areas, and advanced equipment.

The Simons Biosciences Research Laboratories houses the KU Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

The Kansas Geological Survey (KGS) is a research and service division of the University of Kansas that investigates and provides information about the state’s geologic and groundwater resources.

The KU School of Pharmacy is a world-class research institution and one of the country’s premier pharmacy schools.
KU – Higuchi Biosciences Center
The Higuchi Biosciences Center (HBC) is a designated research center engaged in biomedical research. As a super center of the KU Center for Research (KUCR), the HBC has provided over 30 years of exceptional service to the KU Biosciences community. HBC also houses the Kansas Biological Survey.
KU – Bridwell Laboratory
The Bridwell Laboratory houses KU’s herbarium.
KU – Multidisciplinary Research Building (MRB)
MRB has research facilities in a range of areas including chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, medicinal chemistry, biology, molecular bioscience, mechanical and electrical engineering, computer, geology, and other natural sciences.

The Kurata building houses KU’s department of Environment, Health, and Safety.
The Park – Phase IV
Phase IV will be a designated high security office and dry-lab facility. Through partnerships with multiple security agencies, this 80K square-foot building will allow the Park to further develop federal research interests in conjunction with previous phases.

The KU Endowment Association started developing KU’s West Campus in the fall of 2022 to create The Crossing, a place where people can live, work, and play while advancing research and entrepreneurship at KU.
Native Prairie Restoration Project: Trails & Green Spaces
The Native Tallgrass Prairie Restoration Project will advance the sustainability efforts of the Park’s development effort by enhancing the preservation and restoration of the native tallgrass prairie on KU’s West Campus.
The Park – Phase VI
The Park – Phase V
Phase V of The Park will be a designated Bioinnovation and Sustainability Wet-Lab Facility to aid sustainability startups in developing new technologies and bringing them to market. Phase V will add an additional 80K of square footage to The Park’s available space.
The Crossing – Phase II
The KU Endowment Association has started developing KU’s west campus as of Fall 2022 to create the Crossing where people can live, work, and play while advancing research and entrepreneurship at KU.
