Lab2Market accelerator applications open
Applications are open for KU Innovation Park’s Lab2Market accelerator, a six-month program designed to transform groundbreaking research into market-ready ventures.
Why it matters: Lab2Market is a launchpad to move ideas out of the lab and into the world. It connects entrepreneurs with resources, expertise and networks to help bring products and solutions to life.
What you get: Participants get dedicated workspace, in-person training on core startup needs, access to tools like SOLIDWORKS and direct connections with experts, mentors and investors—equipping them with the resources and relationships to thrive.
Apply by December 15: Applications are due by Monday, December 15. Selected participants will be notified by Friday, December 19. Accelerator programming will be held from January to June 2026. Preview the application here. When you’re ready, apply here.
ISO: Spring 2026 Business Analysts
KU Innovation Park is hiring student business analysts for the spring 2026 semester! In this position, you’ll support the Park and its companies by providing hands-on business development and consulting services. Think market research, data analysts, business plan writing, and anything else a startup might need help with.
Here’s what you need to submit by Monday, December 15:
- Cover letter addressing your interest and qualifications
- Current resume
- Two writing samples relevant to the position that demonstrate analytical and written communication abilities. Skip the group work or highly technical documents like lab reports.
Kansas launches SBIR/STTR matching program
Kansas Commerce will now match SBIR and STTR awards earned by entrepreneurs in the state. This new initiative will help Kansas innovators, entrepreneurs and researchers compete and win in the national innovation arena.
- Phase 0 includes support for crafting a winning federal proposal, with expert coaching, technical review, and up to $3,000 in proposal development funding (50% match).
- After earning a Phase I award, the state will provide up to $25,000 in matching funds.
