Douglas County CORE, in partnership with Black:30, is hosting its second annual pitch competition. Set for April 25, the competition has 18 pitch spots – nine for tech startups and nine for non-tech startups. There’s $25,000 in prize money at stake, including $4,000 for the first-place winner in each track (tech and non-tech). This competition is open to all aspiring entrepreneurs or those whose businesses are either new, growing or seeking to make significant changes to their existing business models.

The competition will be held on Thursday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Jayhawk Welcome Center, 1266 Oread Ave., Lawrence, Kan.
