Crimson & Blue: KU entrepreneurship
KU Innovation Park was recently featured in the latest issue of Crimson & Blue, a publication of the KU Alumni Association, as part of the University of Kansas’s growing entrepreneurial ecosystem.
- The framework: A KU-focused investment fund, The Hill Fund, along with the Oread Angel Investor network, both work to provide the capital needed to turn ideas into companies.
- The mindset: KU is building The Hub, a facility to provide students with tools, experience and, in fall 2027, the physical space to discover their entrepreneurial aspirations.
- The commercialization: KU Innovation Park provides the space and support for tech and biosciences companies, serving as the place where connections between research, industry and entrepreneurship become real.
“We’re just trying to keep the momentum of Jayhawks investing in Jayhawks, and so far it’s been positive,” Park CEO Adam Courtney told Crimson & Blue. Read the full story here. A big thank you to our friends and partners at KU Alumni Association for the great feature!
AI & the Kansas economy
Artificial intelligence is changing how businesses operate, industries compete and communities grow. But what could those changes mean for Kansas?
- That’s the topic of our July lunch and learn featuring Donna Ginther, the Roy A. Roberts & Regents Distinguished Professor of Economics at the University of Kansas.
- RSVP to join us on Tuesday, July 14, for this free event here.
- Hear about economic opportunities and challenges that AI presents for Kansas, from workforce and innovation to business growth and the state’s long-term competitiveness.
Stories from the Park
